Junior Design Assistant
(freelance)
Location: Remote (with flexibility for one day in person in London office plus off site shoots, showroom and client visits)
Zoe Willis Design, a boutique interior design studio based in London, is currently seeking a talented and motivated Junior Design Assistant to join our dynamic team.
This freelance position offers the flexibility of remote work with in person meetings with Zoe, ZWD clients, the trade and industry related events.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with the Design Director to develop and execute design projects from concept to completion.
Utilise design software such as AI, Sketchup, CAD, and other systems to create visual representations of design concepts.
Assist in conducting research and sourcing materials, furniture, and decor items for projects.
Support the Design Director in client meetings, presentations, and project coordination.
Contribute to social media content creation and posting, with a focus on platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
Assist in maintaining project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Stay updated on industry trends, product innovations, and emerging technologies relevant to interior design.
Liaise and support the wider team at Zoe Willis Design, including the EA and Head of Technology.
Requirements:
Proficiency in design software such as AI, Sketchup, CAD, and other visual design tools
as well as Google Suite, Trello, Airtable, Slack and systems used by ZWD
Proven proficiency in design development, preferably with a degree or diploma in Interior
Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Creative flair and a passion for design, with the ability to think outside the box and go beyond the brief!
Prior experience/ aptitude in social media content creation and management is desirable.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
Remote and in person availability for 20 hours per week.
